Hey, my name is Amber and I am keeping this blog for my Education computers class. I am in my first year of University and am taking Secondary Education with a major in math and a minor in social studies. I decided to become a math teacher thanks to an amazing math teacher I had in high school whos name is Mr. Radwell but most of us call radzi. He made math super easy and I hope to be a teacher much like him someday.

As for my family, I have two wonderful parents who are super supportive of me and I love them both to death. My mom is the manager of a co-op grocery store in a small town. And my father is disabled due to an aneurism that he had on his 30th birthday just months before I was born. I always say he survived just so he could see me. I also have a brother who is 10 years older than me. He is married to a wonderful woman from Alberta and they have two children: Will(Thomas William Bedford Merritt Junior Junior-he could say it when he was 2 1/2) who’s 5 and Davina who’s 3.

I also have two amazing grandmother’s who’s strength is absolutely amazing and nothing would be complete without mentioning them. They have overcome many difficult obstacles in their lives and I can’t imagine the strength it takes them to get through a single day.

That’s a general overview of me and my family. There are lots more people I could mention(one side of my family alone has close to 50 people) and many other little things abot me but hopefully they will all be revealed through my blog.

  1. WOW! You sound like a very cool person with an amazing familiy. When I go to college, I’ve always dreamed of going to Harvard, Standford, or Princeton. Where did you always want to go? I hope I get to read more about you! I’m looking forward to “talking” to you again. Bye!

  2. Rina, I always wanted to go to the University of Regina as it is only 2 hours away from my family (including my grandparents). I considered going to a different province or even to the states but my family won in the end. I just couldn’t live that far away from them.

  3. Amber, your blog on Remembrance day and your Great Grandfather and Great Great Uncle are amazing. I am so glad that you have taken an interest in this area. I have printed it off so that I can show your Grandpa and Grandma. They are so proud of you as are your dad and I. Awesome work girl. You go. You can do anything you set your mind to. You are amazing. Love you.
